It's a given that most artists struggle to make money with their art. In the '60s, several of them called attention to the struggle by duplicating dollar bills and other legal tender and otherwise making money the focus of their work. David Wojnarowicz gluing Xeroxed bills to a pig's skull is an example. Another is Andy Warhol's photo-real replica of a dollar bill.
